I thought she could do nothing but out-do herself... Under Ytan - Statements - Jungle - Ocean Away... Just kept getting better and better. But this... No. I'll pass. I hope the album will include better music and some ballads and electronic music we're used to. Her vocals are on point, as ALWAYS. But the song itself and the genre.. Just no. I love her vocals, I love the lyrics, and I love the production, but the genre just kills it for me... I'm a warrior (Loreen's fan) to heart, have always been. A artist should evolve and so should Loreen. This is what she wanted to create, so I'm glad she had the guts to do it. Maybe the album will have other sounds on it. Nude is new too, so maybe you should just keep listening to it and hope you'll like the next song! You don't have to love all the songs to be a Warrior. Even Nude was a bit of a stretch for me as it was a little less than what she can actually deliver. To be brutally honest I think the song is way below Loreen's standards. And I don't say that very often, as I know it sounds really arrogant. But her vocal capabilities as an artist are totally wasted on that track and the song does not go anywhere. It just is. Not every Loreen song has to be better than the previous, but this track is just not her at all. Experiment all you want, L and do the stuff you wanna do but use that voice God gave you because you're wasting it away right now. However, as a fan of hers I have purchased the song and I will buy the album whether I like it or not. Because I want her all the best and I'm happy she got the freedom she wanted. And I am not pissed nor angry at her for doing something different (Statements, Under Ytan and Jungle were different and I loved them). But just disappointed personally. And that's OK. As long as she is happy and casual listeners actually buy the music, I'm glad. But music has never been something you use once, and throw in the bin for me. I hold on to songs all my life. So Heal is still relevant to me. So is Statements, and Nude EP. My personal dream-team for her album would be Seb Furrer (even though he is really stuck up as a person), and Payami. But someone from the team who built HEAL to be the executive producer, instead of Sebastian, cause while his music is awesome, the vocal processing is quite poor (you can't hear anything she sings on the tracks). Also, whoever did Lena's Crystal Sky needs to be involved, as that album is amazing. I've heard rumours Lena & Loreen can't stand each other but they'd make an amazing team, too. Such a shame the GP keeps on ignoring her. Well, she only released the track today. It's already at #13 on Swedish iTunes charts and that's higher than any of the tracks on NUDE. So, maybe this will pick up with time. Maybe a silent grower. I'm sure she'll break thru. If not with this song, then the next. They do have a plan, that is for sure.
