well I’m kinda happy but I don’t want her to be overworked. I was excited for her to take a long  break.

IT series was already “huge” and everyone knew about it... ASIB was never HUGE lmao

"IT" series huge? It was never really huge. It was popular like 20+ years ago. The film is just a great one, with great cast, amazingly directed and with outstanding visual effects. All of this plus the popularity of "IT" contributed to its current success.

Comparing "IT" with "ASIB" is no the best way to go simply because both have different paths, different platforms they were released on and virtually are in fact very different projects.

""This is a brilliant move
We get new music sooner
When it flops, we can say it was due to heavy competition
When it's critically panned, people will forget about it by the end of the year anyways""

Ammm everyone knew about it series before movie was released.. I’m not the one comparing - read what I replied to. And I honestly never heard about ASIB before Gaga did it.

IT is a classic horror film, even if you haven't seen it you still know its a clown. I feel like most young people don't even know the A Star Is Born film series so it won't have any hype from being a remake.

Yeah, I'm going to let my job title and experience (I interviewed Gaga a few weeks ago, ya'll) speak for itself and my credibility haha.

most users tend to have a bias against other users who have less than a reputation of 1000, but they don't know that you write for Entertainment Weekly, so :lolga:

Thanks for the ~insider info but I would be extremely surprised if a movie originally set for release in 12 months wasn't still being edited.

Yes. Moving the release from Sept. to may means they're less interested in awards season. But that's it. I think it's worthwhile to remind everyone that original release dates are almost never set in stone, especially ones that were set so soon into production.

Anyone expecting this to be an 80 - 90% er on Rotten Tomatoes regardless of release date is kidding themselves. But none of the information release thus far means it's not going to be a decent flick.

My bad was that I did not exactly read what you wrote, sorry. But to say that everyone knew about "IT" series is a not true. Kids don't know/care about movies, series that were released that long ago, and kids and teenagers are the biggest "IT" audience in 2017.

ASIB was popular even earlier than "IT", so you or me not knowing it existed before is not exactly unexpected.
