First off, horror is broad genre term; there's plenty of sub genres that fit under it. Second off, being horrified isn't a requirement for a horror film. There's plenty of horror films that horrifying. Plus there's plenty of dramas, fantasies, action movies etc that are horrifying but aren't considered horror films. Split is classified as a psychological horror-thriller which it fits and makes it a hybrid of horror and thriller. And Get Out is a prime example a horror film; albeit a psychological horror film with comedic and mystery influences. "My people… need to let our bitchiness out.
