The hate on this thread is ridiculous. Can we just let Katy be Katy and try not to criticise every little thing she does in minute detail? Looks like a great show. I didn’t get to go to Prismatic or California, so I’m looking forward to this next year. Should be a good night.

RE: Setlist order and encore. People don’t CARE about the order of songs when they see a show – they care about the songs themselves. Yep, a few of my faves are missing, but it’s a good mix of old and new and enough to keep it fresh for people who’ve seen every show.

I don't understand people who are bashing her.

I would suggest you to check your expectations first. She is Katy Perry. She has bops, very good props, great visuals/lightning and interesting, kinda creative and cringe worthy looks. Some parts of the show look very good and the rest is just ok.

The tour looks amazing. I'm not a fan of Katy really. But I give credit where it's due and the aesthetics look phenomenal. Some parts actually look like they belong in a Gaga show.  I'm actually tempted to buy tickets but her voice is horrendous on the videos I've watched.

I've just found out Shania Twain is touring next year so might get tickets for that instead.

To me, Witness: The Tour looks exactly like The Prismatic World Tour (which was amazing). Same recipe, with some different ingredients. Still tasty! Bon Appetit baby. :bon:

I don't really like Katy, but she really did serve visuals and a good balanced setlist this tour.

Ok so as an old school pop culture junkie who's really not a fan of her music...but is open enough to try?  The show looks like a combination of a novelty/parody alongside honest and heartfelt appreciation for music and people.  The point is sharing some heart while not taking any of it too seriously, even allowing self deprecation.   If I can't give Katy anything else, I'll say it's next to impossible to find someone in current pop music that will allow that and relish in it.   So, THAT, I enjoyed it about it. Looks fun.

But tbh not really. I've been to CDT and PWT and she always sings the same singles. She could have added older singles or older album tracks to change it up a bit. I mean, I love the new arrangements but yeah, it's always the same songs. Closing with Firework again is just lazy imo and not doing Pendulum is unforgivable :selena:

Huge production...still tacky af, but looks incredibly entertaining. She does not have much presence or charisma or star quality, but fun colorful show for sure. It's a Katy show, and looks a little better than Prism world tour imo. I thought perhaps there would be more substance? Some kind of social or political commentary like she has been alluding to since prior to the album release, but...no just the dancing shark again. The image of her playing guitar on that planet is already iconic. Looking forward to seeing it!

Exactly.

Is it a bad thing to be inspired by Gaga? Should she be afraid of referencing or not referencing? Is she Italian?
