I'm not surprised that Avatar is up there, but I think it's up there for being a poor adaptation of an anime (anime made by Canada), not for being whitewashed. I'm not super well-versed in A: TLAB but all of the characters appeared to be non-white. The water benders appeared to mimic Inuit culture, the fire nation Asian culture, and Aang doesn't read as white to me.

Well I agree to that, and honestly, I didn't watch the movie, but poor adaptations wouldn't be cured by casting the correct races. It just makes it less advertised. People who aren't even watching the movie are the ones making a big deal about it. While, yes, many movies are white washed, for some films, there are just poor altogether. But there is something wrong here, yes. But also, live action adaptations of anime just needs to stop. Whether done by Japan or America. Though both Japan and America seem to choose the exact worse anime to adapt.

River 127,317
It's very common to whitewash the Asian and middle east cultures Biblical movies are with white actors for example, I find it idiotic when a white actor is playing Moses or Jesus.. So sploosh your juice all over me you Riverboy
