Chris and Jake Shears got married and then Chris apparently had an affair with Patrick, to try and fix the marriage they decided to be a throuple and all three be together and then about 2 years ago Jake Shears decided to leave. At least that's what I think happened (I can't be sure, that might all be wrong); but iv'e been following them all on social media for years because I used to be obsessed with The Scissor Sisters (Jake's band). 

I think the break up happened in Summer 2015 because that's when they were all last together at Jake's beach house and then Chris and Patrick did some weird naked photo-shoot thing and were put as a couple in the caption of the photographs. I'd show you but I don't think you can put nude photos on here.

Patrick was not in any trio with Chris's past boyfriend.  He became Chris's boyfriend after Jason and Chris broke up....two years or so ago.  Chris and Jason were never married. Patrick has played classically most of his life and has a Cello Perfomance Degree from UNC Chapel Hill.  He has a second degree from same school but not sure what in.....
