Why was alejandro different in the music video?

If you listen to Alejando on the fame monste album, and then Alejandro in the music video, the 2 songs are quite different. Why do you think they changed the song like that? One might say they altered it to make it fit with the length of the video, but Telephone, Born This Way, Marry The Night had long videos too yet the music was left completely intact. So what was going on there?

Irrelevant

it would be weird to have the video but not to have the song there, since there's less storytelling the three other videos you stated.

A lot of songs do that.

Britney Spears's Hold It Against Me has an extended instrumental after the first chorus in the music video. Bad Romance's 'rah rah' part after the second chorus was shortened to one cycle (the original song has two cycles).

Don't forget the full video of Telephone. An additional chorus was added before the "everybody dies" part and the final chorus.

I don't know why, but probably because Gaga wanted it to be less stop-start like it was in Telephone. (I think she's said she regrets that in Telephone before).

Its kind of annoying in Alejandro though, I'm so sick of hearing "Ale, Alejandero, Ale, Alejandero" by the end of that video. :selena:

Telephone is a film tbh, it's not a video where you can click play and then listen to the song in full. Too many pauses and dialogue.

It was my favorite part. The stripped instrumental and Gaga just chanting Alejandro. It was the original cult chant before Bloody Mary.

If you sing along to every Alejandro mentioned, Gagas powers grew stronger.

I was thinking about this too, it's jarring to listen to that one word being repeated so many times constantly for like 3 minutes. I was thinking maybe it was a sneaky trick to make the song stick in poeple's brain but I'm not sure
