Wait. What? I've never heard this

Yes, her character was killed off before Halloween IV because she refused to come back to the series and the role switched to Jamie Lloyd, her daughter (Danielle Harris) and the rest of the movies, V and VI followed the Thorn angle which was dropped once H20 came around.

At one point a script was written but discarded where her daughter was mentioned in H20 but it never made it in the final film so it was deemed retconned.

This movie also is doing the same being a sequel to Halloween II (1981) and ignoring the rest thus creating another alternative universe apparently.

Yes, she died there.

And no it's not a reboot but a direct sequel to Halloween II (1981)

Elaborate please...A direct sequel to 2 how? Are they ignoring H20 and R?

Tbh at the end of the day it doesn't matter because JLC is a Legend and the original scream queen and I will never be mad at her for coming back to the Halloween franchise

Honestly this is more confusing than the X-Men franchise. :selena:

Well, it's been that way for years. I thought people knew already about this.

Unless they didn't know the complete ignoring of Halloween 4-6 when H20 happened and she's suddenly alive and Michael hasn't been heard from in 20 years.

It's taking place years after Halloween II ignoring the rest of the films.

Yes, they are ignoring H20 and Resurrection.

If it doesn't matter, why did you ask? :sharon: Just kidding. But yes, she is a legend despite her shitting on the horror genre after H20.

Lol, it was a joke.

Yeah, the timelines get confusing with how much they retconned the series.

Though H20 was a fitting end until Resurrection came. I still remember wanting to burn my video rental watching that crap and when she died. Can't imagine how people felt in theaters after it happened.

I hope she kills him off once and for all.

H20 is my favorite in the franchise behind the original (and only slightly ahead of the remake) but resurrection was hot garbage.

I remember friends seeing H20 and saying it was boring af and then praising Resurrection for being good :deadbanana:

if she actually kills him for good this time I will scream. Or if we just see his face  I hope they don't fuc* this up because it would be so easy to fuc* up but if it's done right it could be soooo good

They show his face in the first movie. :selena:

H20 definitely had a lot of the Scream influence even using their score which felt unlike Halloween but the ending was definitely the perfect ending. With her chopping off his head.

I don't think all of the GP followed all of the Halloween movies; since there's so many of them and many of the movies released during different generations. And the timeline was altered a lot.

I think I've only seen the original, the one where the little girl is the killer, H20, Resurrection, and both Rob Zombie movies.

How could they ignore the fact that her character lived through H20 and died in Resurrection? :gum: I am thrilled to see her return and ecstatic that Green is directing, but I really hope this is not messy, Laurie Strode deserves a good send-off.

Can't wait. That on top of John Carpenter producing will make this amazing. The mask also looks like a huge improvement compared to the other sequels :giggle:
