Rio Cancellation/Future of JWT Discussion (No Hysteria)

When do you guys think we're going to get an update?

Do you really think there is a chance the JWT will be cancelled, or are Monsters just being hysterical?

Anyone feel conflicted?

Post your answers/thoughts without jumping down each other's throats.

The fact that this was so sudden leads me to believe it's something severe (and she's not making it public out of fear, prolonging, or she herself isn't entirely sure yet).

We'll have to see about the tours fate. I would hope, and don't come for me, that if she is unable to perform the dance routines, but her health was better, that she would continue the tour and make it more of an Adele esque experience. Idk how that would go over for the casual fans/gp that are there, but honestly that's better than full on canceling imo

The tour production has high budget so I don't think Live Nation will allow her to cancel. The music industry is brutal.

I'm sure there's an insurance policy that covers it so they won't have much to say if the doctors tell her to stay put

She can and she will if needed. Live Nation got insurance to cover the loss. This is not K-Pop.

Even if she cancels most of the shows, I believe she will want to do at least one more show and stream it/film it - to compensate for the canceled shows and give something to her fans.

But for now, let's hope she gets better!

I'm pretty concerned something really serious is going on with her health :ohno:

But Gaga is a trooper, I'd say within a week best case scenario, she'll be feeling much better and the tour will continue as normal.

As for Brazil, maybe she could add an extra date in Rio at the end of the tour...that would really be amazing for the Brazilian monsters but I guess it's unlikely.

*she switched baristas. ☕️

For me if she has to cancel, it's fine. I would rather want her to take a break and recover. Don't you know guys that she always on tour every year (2009-2015, 2017), she needs to slow down now and take care her health. Her break from hip pain during born this way ball is not enough because it's only few months and she has to work again. But she needs to come back when she can.

That's what I am worried about too. :(

I agree with you! I saw Adele and it was a fantastic concert! When someone has the vocal talent and the connection with the audience Gaga has, you don't have to dance. Adele stayed in the same dress the whole show! Lol   I feel like the casual fans and GP would go for it, but it would be those LMs whining about "the old dayzzzz" that would be the complainers. The majority of stans/LMs would get on board, I believe.

I honestly don't think she will cancel the tour. She'll be fine. She's in good hands and *if* she's in hospital due to her chronic pain, they will be able to help her to at least feel ok enough to perform. I've dealt with chronic pain for years caused by pro sports. They can't exactly fix it but they can make it go away to some extent.
