ryanripley 86,575
so i saw It last night and it's one of the BEST horrors released this year and probably movie at a push! i was so shooketh, even my skeleton's wig was SNATCHED i've seen both movies and for me, the 2017 Pennywise was way more horrifying for me than the 1990 version so i'm wondering what you guys think here's some material if you haven't seen either movies (warning: spooky clowns ahead ) Spoiler random comparison Spoiler opening scene comparison Spoiler https://goo.gl/xMgMvJ
Mr Ricky 9,051
Sorry but the 1990, is way too friendly as it wasn't in the book. It was cute for young people, but nowadays young people really don't get scared this easy by the 1990 clown. I loved the dark-eerie tone the new version had and the acting was phenomonal. Also loved the use of having a lazy eye. The way the left eye looks right at ya, and the right eye looks at Georgie. Crossfit
Not The Real Gaga 7,498
I really love the 2017 movie, but Tim Curry as Pennywise was everything. I think the character worked better in the miniseries. The movie version was to goofy sometimes and hadn't really good dialogue.

mariomania1234 11,368
As someone who has read the novel, I think the 2017 version is more faithful. Tim Curry's take on Pennywise is fun as well though.

One moment he was that friendly circus clown and than he turned into a monster very quickly. Bills acting was indeed phenomonal in this new one, but just the character of Pennywise worked a lot better for me in de 1990 version.

Although - and I'm not sure if its a cultural thing or something - I heard a lot of disappointed people in audience here in the Netherlands and personally I've to admit that this movie isn't really a horror movie, it's too soft. RadioIsOurs 13,866
The new Pennywise neither looks scary nor friendly. He looks kinda pervy. Ronald McDonald's way scarier.
