This trailer ///alone/// is already better than any album visuals that Miss Gaga served us with Joanne. And I’m not even a JJ fan. Be humble.

I totally get you. Jessie, especially, has been selling every album as "this is the real me" from the beginning. So, this fourth incarnation of the same old Jessie J method just doesn't hit me as hard as she wants it to. She may have made generic music before now but she was claiming that this was the real her throughout. I think she's just annoyed that she's flopping, it's not that she thinks she's lost a special something that made her great. Like a lot of artists who came before her, she's had a couple of flops and is on the brink of giving it all up because of that. Any kind of artist can endure that, it doesn't mean you've become fake and lost yourself or something. You're just not doing well anymore. Guaranteed if all her albums had been mega hits, she wouldn't have gone through this whole "I don't know if I want to make music anymore" phase.

And I also agree that showing the "true self" can ironically result in one of the most calculated, generic stages of an artist's career. I feel Gaga and Kesha carried it off well because they've actually been through tough times but someone like Jessie? Other than flopping, what hard times has she gone through that can make us believe that this true, confessional, real album is going to something different than what she's offered us before? Every album she makes involves a couple of songs about fighting through the bad times and keeping strong, so I don't know how much further she can take this message and make it different.

She was her true self on her first two albums, but because her label decided to not allow her second album to be released in the US her sales flopped. Her label then gave her the option to either re-work the second album or make a new album, but she only had less than a year to make it and so she was pushed into working with songs that she hadn't written herself and compromise musically in order to meet a deadline. In other words, her label were more interested in a quick turn over to make money than her creative process. That has obviously got to be a tough time for an artist to go through.

And yes she has had other hard times, she had to have an operation in 2015 and never told anyone why, she has a heart condition , and a metal plate and screws in her foot from breaking her ankle all of these things aren't just something that you deal with once and then they never affect you again.

So yes maybe she's labeling the album as representing her 'true self' because America only remembers her for that f****ng Bang Bang song that wasn't written by her and was a marketing ploy by label heads to make money.

I just hope this time around we get songs that have an actual impact on people's lives (she can do it)

Say what you want about her but her debut was solid

Price Tag, Nobodies Perfect and Who You Are impacted the lives of many. These songs connected with an audience who grew up with the strains pop culture placed on them. Not many pop artists had meaningful pop songs at the time, Gaga's Born This Way was seen as pretentious when she profiled these issues. Jessie was always an advocate of love, its just she lost her way like many in this monster like industry.

All these personal albums... in the countryside... with country vibes...

Also- I lost respect when she basically confirmed she was bi-sexual for money.

I'm not sure... People are talking about her fourth album, while it seems she will only release 4 songs, which means it will be an EP. We probably will get more info soon.

After the R. of realisations and the song "Think About That" we will now find out which song is connected to the O. from obsession. It's "Not My Ex", out this Friday.
