Most likely. I don't think AHs really showed us that much of her versatility because the character was very straight faced, but she's naturally a very emotional person and they tend to be the best actors, so i'm sure that will all show in ASIB.

Honestly, and this is my opinion, based off AHS, I can't really give an accurate answer because her acting seemed flat but that's how the character was written. 

I always juxtaposed The Countess with Miranda Priestly in DWP. Both are cold, guarded and appear to be detached. Streep owns her character while Gaga seemed to just be placid in her character development. 

But Meryl is an acting ICON and AHs was gagas first major role. So maybe my opinion will change when ASIB comes out

She's not that good.. she needs to work more on expressions for example, this one bothered me a lot during AHS, her videos etc.

And many times it feels like a "fake" acting, her screams, when she shows anger it's a bit cringy..

idk it's like acting at home when no one's there, pretty sure all of you are doing it.. and we just look funny.

I think she's pretty good; she's definitely very theatrical.

With The Countess I thought her body language and blocking was very natural and demanding.

Her line delivery was sometimes very charismatic and sometimes kinda off/quirky.

I really believed her emotional expression; especially when crying. I think her face is very versatile.

I'd say she's ok. Did great for her first major role in AHS. So much potential and room to grow. ASIB will make or break her acting career.

The Countess was similiar to her, but Ally from A Star Is Born still feels similiar to Gaga too. Gaga has just shown so many sides to herself already. We already know she'll be good at the music scenes and that she can drawn from her own life experiences and her own rise to fame to give color to the character. I'm really not afraid of her bombing, the reviews will be mixed in the worst scenario.

I genuinely liked her acting in the prelude of "Marry The Night". And through the years I'm pretty sure she has fake cried her way through some interviews and acceptance speeches. I hate when actresses fail to cry during an emotional scene in a film and just pull some faces, but Gaga already has the crying skill. It's also good she has no problem with nudity and sex etc, not all actresses have that either.

Maybe at times she has a tendency to overact but I guess a good director can easily pull her back in that case.

Tbh I have the feeling that Gaga will show her real talent as actress with ASIB. The Countess was basically written for Gaga, so she couldn't show her whole potential.

I know that Gaga is a perfectionist and she always tries to improve herself (e.g. her vocal improving every year). Additionally she was surrounded by professional actors and actresses and she even had an acting coach. I think she will do fine. 

I can't wait for the scene where she funneled all her emotions in her performance after she learned about Sonja's death. I guess this will be hard to watch.
