Wtf are you guys on? I'd die if she brings another ARTPOP omfg. I got excited just by reading this thread.

I don't think she's going on that direction though, and I honestly hope she pulls off some gospel or country so you guys actually realize how wrong you are lmao.

REALITY

Would it be my first-choice genre for the next album? No.

But would it be something I'd give a try and listen to? Yeah.

I'd be okay with her doing a tropical-house/EDM/Pop style album. I love Joanne, and what I would personally want is for her to explore that direction more, but honestly (I'm sure this is a very, very unpopular opinion), The Cure is one of my favorite songs by her, so if she had an album just like that, I'd be perfectly fine.

Some of you guys are being melodramatic about the situation though. "I'd unstan her," like that's just not fair. Looking at the big picture, it'll be one album out of, God knows how many, so for you to say "I'd unstan her if she does something generic" or something like that, that's pretty shallow.

well yes if you want. But don't be surprised when the whole thing that will be released sounds like exactly like The Cure

It won't though. Every song performed at the taping I attended at the Coachella grounds was Country music. The story is about her CHARACTER going from being a country singer to a vapid pop star, so I would expect that at least half of the soundtrack to be Country influenced. It sounded great though! I love country music, so I'm excited to hear the finished product of the songs we heard and more.

Anyways in regards to the OP of the thread...there's no way to tell genre of LG6 yet as every indication shows us she is simply writing things here and there now and is no where near the recording and production stages where the "sound" of the song comes to life.

I'm with the majority of the poll...definite no from me. It'll just be another repeat of AP...jumping on a dying trend in an attempt to hit it big and then just missing. That sound is thankfully on the way out. She's older now and I hope she sticks to making timeless, not trendy, music. Think of her best, most beloved songs, like Yoü and I and TEOG...they still sound so great and amazing because it is timeless and didn't seek to follow trends at the time. Quality music will stand on its own.

Personally, I hope she continues with this rock edge that she's always had but that  she's recently displayed at the Super Bowl, Metallica Grammys, Coachella, JWT, hell, even the NY Dive Bar. Her persona in those was so glam rock star, which, despite the more pop sounds she did back in the day, is her roots. The sound at these performances was also more rock. I just want her to commit more to that genre because it's obviously one she loves and has always been influenced by. Classic glam rock and metal vibes mixed with some 80s pop star vibes is Lady Gaga at her best.

I tend to believe she wanted a disco-funk era before working on Joanne.

ARTPOP was meant to be very Hardstyle-Trap-Rave but the released album wasn't up to her decision.

She'll probably do EDM, house, 1-2 tropical songs, slow ballad, trap tracks, RAVE tracks.

You know DJ White Shadow's I Like Dance 11? By the end of the track there's a voice similar to Gaga's and it says HOUSE MUSIC WILL NEVER DIE. I remember how I wanted her to do it for ARTPOP but I think it suits her very well and we haven't seen her do this style.

When it comes to what she wants? She did want to put out a nu disco record, funk, pop and she did want to release a strong rave album (I mean, very experimental) and now maybe she will do something but it really depends on her mood.

You know the girl she can scrap an album she worked 4 years on right before making a new one and work on it for 4 months

.....tropical-house/EDM/Pop.

First of all, this is just a rumor, that i read somewhere from someone who heard it.It may not be true, but it is believeable, and i wanted to know what you think.

Why I think its believeable:

1.Gaga is known for Pop/EDM music the most, and complete house(with vocals of course)would also be low-key experimental for her,and Gaga loves experimenting with music.

2.The Cure was very (tropical)house/synth-pop-ish,and came out of nowhere during a musical era which is known for it's country/slow vibed music(Joanne).Gaga also made a danceable/house remix of Million Reasons(a complete ballad),which may hint to the fact Gaga wants to slowly return to pop/EDM/House-Pop.She also performed this remix on Coachella, but it was not exclusively made for Coachella.(It's called the Andrelli Remix btw).

3.Gaga would have the right producers around her If she would, and she already did work with these producers, who are also most known for their House-Pop/EDM music.Producers like DJWS,Madeon and Zedd for example all work(ed) with Gaga, and are known for House-Pop/EDM.

4.Gaga knows how to give a Gaga-vibe all sorts of music,so it wouldn't be generic.Like Tinnitus for example(unknown If 100% real, but Gaga and Madeon made this together in August 2012)

1. You need some KIND of RECEIPTS and not "I read somewhere who heard it lmao" before you say it's a rumor...

2. Gaga doing another Pop/EDM is not experimental at all

3. The Cure was released because of Sonja, Gaga wanted Sonja to hear the song before she died hence why no promo or music video

4. Million Reasons had that remix SO radio would pick it up and make it a bigger hit not because she wants to return to Pop/EDM lmfao it's not like she had something to do with the remix and she performed it at Coachella because a ballad for Coachella is not right

all the reasons that u said why this "rumor" is "believable" are invalid, but nice try
