she said its the first time shes ever played it for anyone...

think she meant as in the full song, with the lyrics fleshed out. it was a new creation when she played it for VF

She probably meant she's never played it "in public" before, if it's going to be on the album (which it probably is) she'd at least have played it to the label already (plus she probably played it for Vanity Fair too).

I love the song, but I can already see Lana Del Rey comparisons...

Well if the production comes out sounding like a Lana Del Rey record, then fair enough. But I think this has a different vibe going on, I bet the production would have something more electronic about.

am i the only one who thinks that she isnt lying and that she hasnt played it to anyone before?

you guys need to stop speculating

if it is on the album - well good

if not - okay

either way we will find out sooner or later and i feel like its something she's just been playing around with

gaga writes a lot of songs and not all of those songs make it on the album

and if it were on the album she wouldnt have said she's not sure about its status

Rollercoaster

It'll gradually change a bit in melody and power, it's hard to sing a song for the first time when it's new. Speechless and You & I have been through about 30 transitions in melody.

I love it on louder listen. It's very Coldplay. It reminds me alot of a song coldplay would do in terms of melody and chord progression. I can't put my finger on it, as well as being a bit like a Beatles song. Good god it's just so good. She needs to lose the sleep from her voice and change it to melancholy, it's almost there but w/e. It's just really exciting to get LOTR pt2.

The reason LOTR was left off BTW, by the way, was because it was a ballad, and she didn't want any slow songs on the record - it's why You & I and Hair are up tempo. She said this in an interview - she had written slower songs that didn't make the album because she wanted a fully upbeat album.

"Peroxide shot" - a lyric that's been tweeted...

"It's not that deep" - she said this randomly during hair the other day, if you remember. I thought it was weird because Hair isn't deep, but why point it out? BAM lyric.

NO SHE SAID I'VE NEVER EVER PLAYED IT FOR ANYONE

now she may have forgotten but im going to trust her word over your speculation

she didnt say i have never played this in public before

and she hasn't played it for the label yet because she doesnt know whether or not its going to be on the album
