Modern Music getting terrible?

I feel like for the newer generation, its all about music that will make you look cool on social media. They want to "vibe" to and to chill to. Lyrics snd voice dont matter, as long as theyre mumbled over a trap beat and loud bass

This video is such a huge slap on current artist and people like me who listen to top 10 hits. Sure he might not like the current pop music but not everyone has the same taste, it's just a majority of people liking one particular song that ends up in the top 10. I don't think pop music is getting worse but it's rather getting better. There are tons of new generation artists with quality music that expresses the different sides of this generation and music might be science but it is at the same time considered an art form.

I literally just said this to someone a few minutes ago, and often say it on here. 

 

Pop music just isn't good any more. Top 40 radio just absolutely sucks. GP music stopped being good around 6 or 7 years ago, if not a little bit before. 

 

Everyone is welcome to their own tastes, but in response to the original question, yes, I'd agree. I don't listen to Taylor Swift. I don't listen to Katy Perry. I don't listen to Lana Del Rey. I don't like any of that stuff.

Even when you go outside the mainstream, music is really mediocre. I think Lana Del Rey is the one who stands out the most for the poetry in her lyrics and the instruments/vibe she created, it's real artform, you know it when you feel something when you listen to a song, and it's not just a "bop".
