Gaga Monster 13,001
Trump’s expected decision to scrap DACA within six months represents another challenge for Ryan and fellow congressional Republicans, who are facing an end-of-September deadline to avert a government shutdown and government debt default, while also tackling a Hurricane Harvey relief package and a major tax reform push. It’s not clear that Congress will be able to come to an agreement on the future of DACA. Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa), who previously said he was very disappointed by Trump’s lack of action on DACA, expressed fresh frustration on Sunday night with the idea of a delayed implementation. “Ending DACA now gives chance 2 restore Rule of Law. Delaying so R Leadership can push Amnesty is Republican suicide,” King tweeted. Meanwhile, Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-Fla.), who has called on Trump to stand up for the Dreamers, tweeted out her displeasure with Trump’s expected announcement. “After teasing #Dreamers for months with talk of his 'great heart,' @POTUS slams door on them. Some 'heart'...” she wrote. http://www.politico.com/story/2017/09/03/trump-dreamers-immigration-daca-immigrants-242301 GGD Presidential Elections
Gaga Monster 13,001
I think Congress will get it done. Some Republicans have been supportive of DACA so I hope they can reach a majority! GGD Presidential Elections
FATCAT 60,886
They will have almost every democrat, so they will definitely get it passed, but the issue will be in the extra bits that republicans try to throw into the bill. If we had a simple re-statement of the executive order, we'd be good to go. This kitten over here (meow)

Gaga Monster 13,001
29 minutes ago, John Wayne said: Being a flop here, but what is DACA? DACA allows 800,000 Illegal Immigrant Children to be able to go to school, college, work, without fearing getting deported. To apply you pay $500 and if you work, go to school, and maintain a clean criminal record, you are allowed to stay on the program. The idea is it is not right to punish and treat children as criminals because it was not their choice to be illegal and they should be able to work and go to school. The opposition of DACA is that it is unconstitutional, it is an executive order that didn't got through the congress and senate, and they are still illegal.
