The blame is in the white working class in the swing states, the people Trump brainwashed by confirming their irrational fears of feeling like victims. His ideas were so far-fetched and catered way too strongly towards younger people, who don't get out and vote as much as older adults. I knew from the start he wouldn't win, that's why I didn't support him. Of course I loved the liberal propaganda he was spewing, but I knew it was TOO liberal to win this election. Don't get me wrong, her analysis has truth to it, but her and her loyalist stans are annoying af because they don't seem to recognize her flaws. Agreed. Hillary was a "good" candidate but not a great one, especially not against Trump. She came across pretty cold whilst Trump was that typical charismatic ass hole. Her campaign was handled poorly too, it basically promoted Trump and made him look like a serious option when it should have treated him like he is - a joke. They're just trying to find someone to blame other than her. She was weak from the beginning, and she was weak where it counted. I don't precisely blame him, but let's just say that Trump supporters weren't the only people being fed fake news. I believe that the Comey investigation that was reopened a week before election night led many undecided voters in those crucial states to vote for Trump. That along with the fact that Trump managed to win over the white working class middle America voters who felt forgotten and left out under Obama. She was weak in the places that matter most: marketing and charisma. I like Hillary, really I do, but Donald Trump has one skill over her in leaps and bounds: marketing. He is a bumbling idiot at just about everything else, but the guy knows how to sell something to people, even something that upon even a basic analysis is horrible all-around. Case in-point: the wall. So, yes, Hillary is by leaps and bounds more qualified to be the president of the United States, but she was not able to effectively communicate those qualifications to the American people (Yes, she won the popular vote, but realistically she should have won it by more than she did). She let people know what she did, but she didn't do as great a job at making the compelling case for how a Clinton presidency would benefit them next to a Trump one to the voters that matter. The fact that you chalk it up to a "tense primary" is cringey as hell imo... You honestly don't see a difference between how graciously Hillary conceded to Obama in 2008 (a MUUUCH closer election) and how Bernie acted after he lost? Bernie launched arguably sexist attacks against the Secretary. And if you know me or my posting history, I am literally the LAST member here to play the sexist card - I was the first one in that Taylor Swift/Gaga backlash thread tying it to sexism saying it was a bullsh*t argument. But Bernie actually called her unqualified.... Like... What... A male Senator with no major legislation passed EVER and zero foreign policy experience called Hillary, a woman, unqualified. OK. I also worked in this battle, so yes, I am a little close to the situation and may be biased. But I also know how Bernie acted behind the scenes, and he was anything but easy to get along with. That's why she lost for the third time, and the last was to a reality-TV star. She doesn't deserve the title to be the first female president and I'm glad she lost.
