flopheart 1,865
I found all the struggles in the episode about the election a little bit extra and "too much" but looks promising

Logan 20,740
So do we think the clowns are just Trump supporters terrorizing people, or is this something supernatural?
Luke78619 23,356
I'm liking it so far, it's gone back to a more relatable scene like Murder House. Hotel was so unrelatable for me, too glam and busy, something like this makes it more relatable for viewers and makes it scarier, like this could happen to us when going to our local supermarket i hope the whole season isn't just in the house or butchery with these clowns scaring them. I can't see the direction yet also, why do the clowns inhibit every fear that Ally had? They're clowns and have holes or patterns that she's afraid of, it sounds suspicious 6 minutes ago, Logan said: So do we think the clowns are just Trump supporters terrorizing people, or is this something supernatural? I thought someone involved in the show said there's no supernatural elements, purely just based on people's fear insta: good_lukeing | I have nothing else to promote

Philo 344
I really liked it. Yes, it's politically charged but it's balanced out (as of now), showed characters from both from the left and right. Apart from Kai (Evan Peters) and Winter (Billie Lourd), my problem was that the characters seemed rather one-dimensional, there were some moments where you could relate to them but mostly not for the most of the time. (This is not a problem tho, as long as the plot carries the show. It was the other way around for me in Coven, where the characters were A+, but the plot started going downhill from ep5). I think it's a great build-up for what's going to happen, but one or two storyline seems a little predictable for me already, but I hope I will be surprised. I also hope that every episode will deliver and that it's not going to get messy. EDIT: Also, some scenes were really absurd and somewhat funny, and I like this satire-like direction they are going for.
wtfgaga 673
It was boring and confusing. the only thing i like about the first episode was Ms Sarah Paulson's brilliant acting!

Was planning to watch it when I got up, but I've heard that the political aspects are just cringy and the story is meh. Is that true or was the ep good? Personally i have hated this ep, it was cringy, too evident, stereotyped, disorganized, coarse.. Some moments are boring and some are hysterical for no reason, it screams a lot but there is no frightening scenes because it's too classical, literal, excpected and without subtleties... Ryan Murphy is not a philosoph, political scientist or a sociologist but he pretends he is, and the result is that the meaning is simplistic, too oriented and reducer... The worst first epiosde imo! it was hard to watch especially since visually this is basic, tasteless and near to a telefilm... The teasers and the credits are better, that's tragic! Good promo but empty product ) + Sarah Paulson used to be good be now she is a parody of herself and this is cringy too You will understand that i haven't liked this

I got dont get the clowns coulrophobia is a common phobia among people along with trypophobia which is used heavily in the season, which seemed to revolve around fears. Ryan Murphy probably got an inspiration of the killer clown phenomenon that happened last year in the month leading up to the election. Uh Red Wine... Convict... Gah Gah... ryanripley 86,575
i'm sorry but that wasn't scary at all i had my expectations low ever since Freakshow, the only reason i liked Hotel was for Gaga and some of the characters and Roanoke at least tried to be interesting by changing it up (however, it still ended up being a hot mess) i just wasn't entertained at all, paulson's constant breakdowns just get more annoying as they go on and clowns are such an overdone genre whatever, maybe i'll see how the season unravels as it goes on but idk, it was more trying to be outrageous than scary to me https://goo.gl/xMgMvJ
Doot 2
10 hours ago, Bradley said: To be fair, Hotel and Roanoke were good. The reason they weren't nominated for Emmys (for Outstanding Limited Series) is because he made Feud and American Crime Story which are competing with AHS. So yes he's making shows to compete among themselves. At least I enjoyed Hotel and Roanoke a lot, and I liked them better than I liked Murder House and Freak Show. Hotel was watchable. Roanoke had maybe the first two episodes which showed promise, but after that, it was just awful.
