Both my parents were born and raised in Greece, came over to the USA legally and became citizens. Most of my family are immigrants who are now US citizens. Don't see how its so hard. Now we're so integrated into US society and culture that we identify as Americans. Except, we don't get the same rights as citizens do. And now with DACA ending, proper education and legal work permits are out the window as well. Don't leave out the land owners who exploit this work force...I think they should be held accountable and be financially responsible to correct the problem. Also setting up an easy path to citizenship would go a long way to benefiting everyone involved. like a cat in a sil, I observe life, moving and still. If your parents don't get it, you are automatically denied for at least 10 years. Literally the second my parents and I entered the country, we started the process to get citizenship. After 10 years, our final court date was set, but sadly my parents were denied because my dad shoplifted once (he was like 20 years old and he got caught stop lifting snacks, yes snacks, from a grocery store). Therefore, I was automatically denied as well. And there was a 10-year waiting period before I am even able to start the process all over again. In a few months those 10 years will be up for me. But now the process has to start all over again who's to say I won't get deported before my final court date in a few years?
