Not exactly that. As I understand, becoming a DREAMER is something you must work to keep

"

You must be currently in school, have graduated, or obtained an equivalent certificate of completion from high school, successfully obtained a general education development (GED) certificate, or must have been honorably discharged from the Armed Forces of the United States; and

You must not have been convicted of a felony, significant misdemeanor, three or more other misdemeanors, and must not pose a threat to national security or public safety."

91% of DACA recipients are employed, so the vast majority of them do work

How does this help make America "Great" Again?

How does this help anything other than appease racists and xenophobes? :wtf:

Oh wait, I forgot that "Great" America is a white, upperclass America :smh:

Wow, the only answer to this is that he is a RACIST vile piece of **** that if he could, he'd ban everyone from the country except white americans. This is what 63 million dumb ass people voted for... and they just destryed the future of at least 750,000 people.

I'm so ****ing mad about this. These people who are protected under DACA are probably the most hard working people I've ever meet in my life. All my life I've heard that "all Mexicans do is take advantage of the system" and that "you need to help the government if you wanna live here no free passes" and now that these kids are doing just That they take it away. I'm disgusted by that bastard Trump

I have been protected by the DACA program for 3 years now and have been able to attend college and get a drivers license and work through the program. Politico has only obtained this supposed informed from "insiders" but the true actions will be revealed on Tuesday from the trump administratin. I was brought to this country illegally against my own choice or will at the age of 6 and have have lived here for 14 years. I have gone through this countries educational system that raised me to believe that through hardwork and perseverance anything is possible. So I worked hard, I graduated in the top of my class and I was very involved within my community and earned various scholarships to pursue my dreams. The DACA program gave me hope that I would be able to reach my goals and dreams despite a bad decision that was made for me and will haunt me for the rest of my life. I am devastated, angry and frightened by what this administration may bring to the hardworking and passionate individuals who makeup the DREAMERS. I ask that you keep us in your thoughts and prayers. It is not fair that our lives be turned upside down in the blink of an eye in a country we pledge allegiance to and the only place we know as home. It is not fair to think that I along with 800,000 other bright minds could be driven out of this country by hate.

Lion Heart

It's still not official until Tuesday, but he is giving Congress six months to act on something to protect Dreamers. A couple of surprising Republican Senators have already said they should be protected including Sens Hatch (UT) and Lankford (OK). If we can get all Democrat Senators on board (45, Manchin will not vote), these 2 Senators, the 2 Independent Senators, and just 2 more Republican Senators (Graham and McCain), then legislation to protect Dreamers has a decent chance of passing. Also I believe Sen Jeff Flake is pretty sympathetic to Dreamers, and Tom Cotton (Raise Act writer) is willing to be flexible.

BOTTOMLINE, there is SOME hope for Dreamers. In the House, the RAC Act offers a conservative solution for Dreamers, and it has 18 REPUBLICAN co sponsors. We can do this.

Can I ask one of you to help me? I have been reading this site for many year and but I have not been actively commenting and I therefore do not know how to create a thread of my own. May I ask our community to come together and help me with the situation I find myself in? I have posted the entire story of my truth on Facebook and Twitter regarding DACA and I would greatly appreciated if even just a couple of you would share or rt my post to raise awarenesss for this issue. Can one of you help me in making a thread or make a thread linking the community to my facebook and twitter posts?

thank you so much to whomever helps me create a thread and to whomever shares my posts. This is very frightening of me to open up about and would very much appreciate the support.

This is probably the worst thing he's done

Living in LA, soo many people are going to affected by this. My friend said in 6 months she no longer will be able to get a job or go to school, and she has been doing so well for herself. The US is her first culture, she grew up here and you wouldn't even be able to tell she speaks Spanish if you talked to her. This is ****ed up in so many ways, and Trump will pay the price for this eventually

Actually this will imact a large part of California, Arizona, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, and Texas....many migrant workers since the 60's who are employed as seasonal agriculture workers have had children grow up as Americans but not citizen's....

like a cat in a sil, I observe life, moving and still. My words give a clue, look inside to see whats true

I am going to share your story with a few of my family members who want to defend DACA and pass the Dream Act! You are a true American and I am sorry about what is going on, we are here for you

Jeff Sessions: DACA is being rescinded

No mention of the 6 month span. However, apparently Congress will have the chance to protect the people under DACA.

Idk what will happen now.
