I hope that, like Joanne and her tours, she begins to incorporate more real instruments into her albums. It will keep the music sounding ageless. I totally agree with this. The real instrumentation really gives it a timeless sound, with this really great warmth missing from all digital and computerized music. For example, a drum machine or whatever will never have the same depth, warmth, and uniqueness that a "live" recorded drum track has. Even the way each individual drummer hits their instrument is unique and different. A good comparison track is actually DIC...listen to the DIC instrumental that uses all live recorded instruments and compare it to similar sounding songs that do not use real instruments...there's a marked difference. Anyways, I too hope she continues to use real instrumentation in her work. OT, listening to the way she rocked up Just Dance at the SB (which itself is a love letter to glam rock and heavy metal theatrics), Coachella, and JWT has made me fall in love with the song all over and makes me want a rock album even more. I love in general how her live versions are almost always more rock.

Gaga said something about the rock direction of BDR too before they used drum machine. Yeah, I think she mentioned somewhere that a few songs from TF were written as metal/hair metal songs, at least in her head, before actually producing them. 3 points in and ready for more

Oh cool, and as somebody else has said, Boys Boys Boys also. The whole album really has a funny, underground glam rock subtlety to it sans a few tracks. 3 points in and ready for more

Borislshere 53,077
I miss the versions she performed during the fame era. They had such a rock sound to them and it was truly eargasmic.
