It wasn't because of lack of public interest. Britney was the most searched person of 2007, the year before the Circus comeback. Katy seems to suffering because the public has a lack of interest in her. If so, how did CTTR debuted at no.4? Tbh, NA is the only "problem". Everywhere else the tickets for her tour are sold out. Swish Swish is one of the biggest hits here, at least in my city.

Witness boke the record for biggest drop of sales for a #1 album(Was it 92%?) Tickets for Witness Tour are cheaper than a Happy Meal in McDonalds. LWYMMD outviewd Swish Swish in less than 2 days and outsold all Katy's flops this year in 1 week. she keeps receipts

n0ne 13,105
I would say based off the amount of input she put in this era and what she got out of it; yes. Plus her public persona this era took a huge hit. I would say Iggy Azalea is 2nd. I find it ironic how this era I kinda stanned for Katy and think Witness is her best album, but it became her flop era. "My people… need to let our bitchiness out. Jonathan2244 1,858
Tbh she underperformed for her standards, but Katy was never an album seller, CTTR Did okay. 600k USA Top 5 UK/USA and most major markets, sales are decent.
Whispering 18,865
She's definitely the biggest surprise as far as underperformance goes. All of her old tricks aren't working. She doesn't have the talent to come back that way. I'm not sure what she should do at this point.

But, we can all agree that everyone has flop eras. Even Gaga with the artRAVE the tickets were not selling that well in Australia and 5-6 dates from Europe. x12312312
