Why don't you like 'Hey Girl' ?

Why don't you like 'Hey Girl'? Just because it's slow or not pop enough? Here is an article about the greatness of "Hey Girl".

What makes “Hey Girl” work, despite all this, is that instead of simply *telling *listeners that successful women can be supportive friends, Gaga *shows *it—throws a groovy party for that revelation, really. She weaves her voice together with Flo’s atop relaxed-fit space-funk that benefits from Welch’s signature harp/strings and the start-stop pacing of “Bennie and the Jets.” Their voices sound different but ultimately better together than they do alone, which is the entire point: This is feminist shine theoryon pop’s main stage, Lenny Letter in song form. “We don't need to keep on one-in’ up another,” Gaga declares confidently in the chorus. “If you lose your way/Just know that I got you,” Flo counters.

Love Hey Girl.

But my sister and I used to literally "hold hands and dance down the Bowery" in NYC...so the song is meaningful in that way for us. :laughga:

You have to be in a certain mood to really enjoy it. It's not like I don't like it, there are just better songs she made.

Hey Girl is a song that manages to both have an unifying message and not sound boring or preachy. And I love those sorts of songs tbh. It deserved to be performed on the JWT more than any other song (asides Joanne).

All bow down to Slay Girl.

I don't really like the song,but that's just my opinion,and it's certainly not a bad song,nor a bad message.

But i think the background music turns most people off.

It's that sort of 'meh' song for me. I do like it, but at the same time it can get boring. It's one of the few songs of Gaga's that I skip because I can't really get into it. :noparty:

I do love the message and if it's your fav song then good for you. Opinions are opinions and mine's mine.

I tend to like bops like John Wayne and A-YO a lot more tbh. Maybe it's cus' I can jam to them but when I'm in a relaxed mood, slower songs like Million Reasons and Hey Girl are calm and soothing.

I like it. It's A great song about females coming together and being supportive to one another, We need more songs like that. Plus it gives me serious 70s vibes!:tony:

Shocking that people have different taste and not many might not be interested in the song regardless of the quality.

I like Hey Girl, myself.

I don't have some long drawn out explanation for why I don't like the song. I just don't like it. At all. It's the worst song on the album for me.

Only surpassing Sinners Prayer.

I love the production, it's kind of intimate. If it was an upbeat pop song I think it would've sounded shallow and cringey.
