So many things like this don't work out? Based on what? Your experiences?  for many people it has nothing to do with age. If 2 consenting adults have a strong connection and a healthy relationship(maturity, communication,aligning morals) with each other who are we to impose our experiences. I'm 20 and engaged to the love of my life and hes 12 years older than me we didn't even know the age difference was that huge until really talking and setting up our first date my parents have 15 year age gap and have been together for 18 years. It really varries from person to person. Not coming for you just maybe showing you that Gaga is an adult who is looking for someone who compliments her needs and personality bb. Not all older men are grumpy or mirror images of their fathers my dad never knew his father . I'm sorry that you had bad experiences with older individuals and that does matter! But you can't really project that onto someone you don't know personally.

Based on my experiences and the experiences I've seen of others, both in real life and celebrity culture. I'm prepared to be a bit more open-minded for a gap like yours but when someone seriously believes they have a future with someone old enough to be their parent, I just don't know what to say to that. Do you agree with Trump and Melania? He's 24 years older than her and actually Melania is only 11 years older than Ivanka, his eldest daughter? Can you imagine how creepy it is to have a stepmother who's young enough to be your sister? Trump and Melania are hardly going to be together forever, he'll die before she does, so by entering marriage with him, she's already admitting that she'll be a widow one day. Don't you think that's morbid? I couldn't live like that. I feel worried enough for my own parent's mortality, never mind my life partner's. Not to mention, older men have such clear motives when they approach younger women. They maybe aren't as outwardly inappropriate as young men might be, but they want sex just as much, if not more. I've had many an older man practically salivate over me. I don't know why they think they stand a chance. Maybe if so many young women didn't keep accepting their advances, they'd stick to women their own age and stop punching above their weight. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad Gaga isn't going to far as to date a senior citizen like Tony Bennett's wife is, but I just fear that this is another union that will end in tears for her, just for a different reason this time. If she wants children especially, it's best to do that with someone your own age.

Agreed bby! never said you should date someone nearly 30 years your senior... Not you using Melanias relationship (which is clearly toxic) as an expample.  just really dumb to have people be ageist against Christian when he really isn't old enough to be Gagas father at all? They clearly make eachother happy they are 18 years apart yes but that also includes many other factors. They work in the same industry and are independent it isn't an arrangement. I think health and death is more applicable to people with a 30-40 year old relationship Christian is clearly fit and healthy for his age (from what we can see) I just don't really see how it could be something that would damage Gaga in the end when clearly she seems fairly happy.  You and your friends life experiences aren't applicable to every single person on the planet for sure but do I respect the fact that this is something that you believe in morally and you won't partake in yes love

my uncle is about 20 years older than his wife.  They have been married 20 years now and have three great kids.

Your post is full of stereotyping.  Every relationship is different.
