Born To Slay 10,996
http://www.billboard.com/articles/events/vma/7942341/logic-kesha-vmas-suicide-prevention-hotline-calls Before Logic took the stage to perform "1-800-273-8255" with Alessia Cara and Khalid at MTV's Video Music Awards Sunday night (Aug. 27), Kesha delivered a powerful speech on the song's impact and reassured audience members that "none of us are alone." It appears the message worked, as the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline -- the number for which is the title of Logic's song -- experienced a 50 percent increase in calls after the performance, according to the Lifeline's Director of Communications Frances Gonzalez. Billboard has reached out to the Lifeline for comment but had not received a response at time of publishing.

SiliconeMonster 1,617
I work at a crisis/suicide line and can confirm that when the media and popular artists recognize mental illness it has a huge significance in the volume and context of our calls. Especially when we get calls from kids and young adults who feel like they can relate to the lyrics and messages they have. It seems small but it can mean so much to people. His song has been the talk at our center and we've received an influx of Lifeline calls because of it. I'm grateful for his meaningful message and I hope other artists follow suit. ManifestSelene 185
Good. Too many people have been lost already to suicide, and the fact a major artist is talking about it is huge and will help reduce the stigma surrounding it. ToxicHot 6,444
Amazing. I'm glad Logic used a large platform like this to spread awareness. He's one of the greatest contemporary rappers out right now (not just because of this song, either). He raps about real issues. dOnT sAd ReAcT mE 2 bE sHaDy i WiLL RePoRt U!!1!
