thehanyo 4,251 Posted August 29, 2017 Share Posted August 29, 2017 One could only imagine how Joanne herself would react to the spectacle arranged in her honor at Citi Field: an electrifying outing that toggled between Gaga's pumping dance jams, the fierce glam-rock of her "Born This Way" era and her most recent Western-chic obsessions. All told it was a motivating and thoughtful show, executed with the joy and ferocity of a superstar on a mission -- by night's end you were going to know her work, her heart and her aunt. She was so great! I couldn't believe it! Her vocals, her dancing, the screens, the fireworks, etc. her ****ing outfits! Bitch looked like a ****ing goddess! And her audience interaction was on ****ing point. I've never cried at a concert but her Joanne speech toward the end had me bawling. Just goes to show, never doubt the ****ing Gaga. I think a lot of fans were expecting something less stellar than her usual, but I knew in my heart she'd blow this one out of the water. And IMO it looks to be her best tour probably of her career I just love everything about it, aesthetic-wise to the song choices. Well I felt slighted that Gaga was leaving out BM, DIC and Paparazzi before I went but being there was just such a great time that I really didn't care at all. She was so amazing in every way. She sang so incredibly that multiple times I literally stopped dancing because I was internally like "wow". Her dancing was really good, especially considering the vocals she was delivering. We all agreed that we liked the artrave more, but I think that's because of the stadium aspect. It was a really great concert regardless.
