Gaga is a musician, an artist, and as such her fans have every right to have an opinion about her work. A stan/fan who loves everything his idol does no matter what is just one of those ridiculous modern pop culture concepts.

Plus, as fans, it's only natural that we want our fave to do as well as the best out there.

My guess is that MR is a personal and simple song and she wanted the video to reflect that 

That and there was limited time and resources  it happens

I highly doubt we would be having this conversation if she put A-Yo out as the second single like she wanted to rather than rush releasing MR like she did with DWUW

Taylor Swifts new video is amazing. I had really low expections, but I got surprised!

No, the music videos this era might haven't been the most bling or extraordinaire as she's done before - but that's because, that's not what this era is about. People should keep that in mind.

In 10 years she gave the public pop culture defining videos for Paparazzi, Bad Romance, Telephone, Alejandro, Born this way, etc... We can't really complain. Videos worthy of a Queen though. She also has the right to out out more toned down and simple videos.

Honestly, PI and MR aren't bad videos at all, they fit the song perfectly and I can't think of anything else the video could've been.

i dont mean to imply anything negative . i love the stage n interludes  but to some  it might seemed simple compared to what she had done . what im trying to say is its all intentional and deliberate from her to show what this era is about .

Hunny, basic is definitely not the correct word but yeah I agree that it's more toned down in a deliberate way
