I know a great lot of LM who hate this era, but i think without that, Gaga would not have a lot of praise and the support of Medias and GP. This era save her. C2C opened her up to a wider audience and she was able to express herself in a way she had wanted to for a while. I also think on a personal level, working with Tony was good for her because it kept her grounded. On a personal level, I think this era with Joanne was also a huge therapy moment for her, and I think we'll probably see more of this in the documentary. Gaga seems like she has been playing the long game -establish yourself with focusing on respect from the industry veterans, powerhouses and established legends -showcasing her vocals more -expanding into acting starting with camp (AHS) or musical films (ASIB/documentary) By actively avoiding petty pop wars whose players (even while victorious) aren't guaranteed to remain popular for years, she has carved herself her own niche/lane and will continue to do so.
