I think Luis is very happy that Justin is on the song, because without him the song would be WAY less successful. Don't reach. It's not Justin fault that Trump wants to build a wall. Justin is not even US-American.

Look at this gym teacher thinking I'm active enough to reach for literally anything. Explain to me what you think I'm reaching for?

That a pop star with millions of followers who is of age to give a **** about his fans, is making music strictly for profit and marketing it to a racially divided country? I understand that not all pop stars can be like Gaga and make political statements towards acceptance but it doesn't stop me from having an opinion over Justin's shallow motivations for making shitty music. He owes his success to the US just as much as Canada, if not more.

Even Gaga does not make political statements all the time. That's like expecting gaga to talk about the brexit or Front national on France

Girl please, most viewed video and it has no Justin in it. The song isn't successful because of Justin.

In the US,UK and Canada. Basically everywhere in North America.

I forgot to add in the US and UK. In anglosaxon Countries it's only successful thanks to Bieber.

His track is successful in those countries, but MAYBE 2% of Bieber fans are watching the original music video on repeat. They're probably streaming on Spotify or looking up a "lyric" video for his version. I'm just stating that he isn't bringing the success alone. It seems as if he is piggybacking off the success of the original video.

I never said that success is only cause of Bieber, but the Bieber version is streamed more in the US and also get bought more there.

Also, Luis didn't needed to work with Bieber, but he chose that, so don't make it sound like that Bieber is piggybacking or anything

If Bieber cared about their culture even slightly, I'd have a different opinion.

Voted for LWYMMD, but I regret it tbh. Despacito is MUCH better tbh.

I don't understand why people hate Despacito so much... it's honestly not a bad song. Not a great one either, but not the horrible trash people on here are trying to make it seem.

Do y'all not like it because it's a Spanish song? Just because it's popular and trendy to hate on it? 🤔

Despacito sounds like basic Latin music. When you hear one, you hear majority. How people are saying what deserves to be #1 or what doesnt is weird. It's an ok song I'd just prefer it not break the record. It'll show how simple the music industry has become.

The thing is though that Latin music is not the majority of American charts.
