Hmm song that uses a phrase used by domestic abusers winning, yaaaay 2017. :neyde:

And thats coming from Mariah fan who hates Desp-erate-cito and needs it dethroned

Yes, you've nailed it, that phrase is trademarked by domestic abusers actually, and now Taylor is using it to normalise domestic abuse in an effort to make it a lawful act and encourage violence in relationships everywhere... Well done, you've uncovered the truth, 10/10 truth-uncovering skills...

The true question is, will it stay on top? Lead singles from major pop stars always have good first days, even Perfect Illusion, but then they're gone by the second week. Sales from the first hours mean nothing to the song power imo. Can Taylor sustain her success as long as she did with 1989?

I don't think the song is pretty enough for that

I just can't imagine radios playing this 60s Horror Movie inspired track daily. It is almost "ugly".

Why even mention domestic abuse then? Seriously, whats with people on here constantly trying to turn everything they don't like into a hidden ploy to justify abuse (aka everything is sexist/racist/homophobic etc) or turn it into an argument about identity politics... It doesn't make you sounds smart, just annoying :nails:
