Why are some independent artists on VEVO and some aren't?

All of these songs were released independently/through their own labels, but Bombastic and BBB are on VEVO, while Volcano and Diamond Days aren't.. Why?

Also, Brooke and Cruel Youth are both independent now and their channels aren't verified. Neon Hitch for example is independent as well, but her profile (non-VEVO one) is verified. Why?

Her label still might be asociated with a major label. Or maybe she thinks her videos will be popular sometime. 

Florence + The Machine doesn't have Vevo certified videos but they are on Vevo because she is major label artist. 

Bjork for ex. is not major label artist.

I searched now and it seems that Azalea is major label artist because she is under Interscope.

Some independent artists probably have a deal with Vevo in some way.  Same as major labels artists I guess.

you missed ''the'', sis. (Anyways I didn't even know because I'm not into Azalea's music and all I did was to check her wiki page ).

Even if the mixtape wasn't under a label her yt account was still associted with Interscope so maybe that's why, but I don't know.
