Lowkey expecting 3 extra separate pics to show us the date :laughga:
One reading the year (2017, you'd think), one reading the month and one final pic with the day.

She really be building hype with this reveal.

Probably not unless it's a cosmetic title - she could potentially get a producer credit for commissioning the documentary, for choosing the director and/or for financing it (or finding HBO to fund and distribute it) but she wouldn't be acting as a producer in the traditional sense.

Knowing gaga she probably gave them extensive direction of what she wants and how the story should go. She just hasnt seen how the editing and sequence was made. She definitely helped build the story

I didn't read the whole thread but I think it's a documentary.

If its a music video, based on that small clip alone its her best video in ages lol

Yeah maybe, but that would still be a pretty unconventional and minor role for a producer - so I'd still class it as a cosmetic title (assuming she does get that credit, but considering her status - you'd think she and her team would want some title which is understandable).

I'd guess that she probably picked Ruth as director (I'm assuming she is director, pretty sure that was the rumor a while ago and she posted something) because she trusts her and gave something simple like a "I want you to document my life, the creation of Joanne and the lead up to the superbowl" as the direction.

With documentary the story can evolve pretty quickly and it's really created in the editing room, especially with a fly-on-the-wall type doco, so the producer would usually be pretty involved with the production phase and the post-production phase which she doesn't seem to be.

That's not to say that the story wasn't planned out in advance in terms of how they expected the story to go and what they wanted, but things can change pretty quick.

Beautiful Dirt

I find it so sad that she says " ...everyone talking AT me" and not 'TO' me. Bless her, I could never do what she does, but I'm so incredible grateful she can and is willing to.
