Drin Lon 7,875
Definitely hits that got away: Boys Boys Boys Starstruck Monster Dance In The Dark Marry The Night (if TEOG would have been the 2nd single and then MTN, it would have been a top5 smash ) Hair (it's as radio friendly as it gets for 2011) DWUW ft.Xtina Fall RnB smash that got away MANiCURE (The GP and Billboard love it) Gypsy Do I have to explain... A-Yo (as the lead single it would have been a solid top10 hit and y'all tasteless hunties would have dealed) The Cure Possible Hits: Summerboy Speechless Bloody Mary Heavy Metal Lover Aura (a radio version released early 2013, the peak of EDM, would have slayed ) G.U.Y. (same, if released early 2013 and not mid 2014 in a dead era , promoted as G.U.Y. ft. Zedd since he was popular back then) John Wayne ( I mean, it's catchy, short, upbeat, if Gaga would have given it a chance it could have done decent) Less Likely Hits: Venus (I don't really see it but hey... Bad Romance was weird as hell for 2009 but it still smashed ) So Happy I Could Die Money Honey Scheiße Dancin' In Circles Joanne
Phoebe Buffay 12,525
The only correct answer is: 1. Starstruck 2. Do What U Want 3. Monster 4. Scheisse 5. The Cure
PlanetChromatica 2,267
Boys Boys Boys could of been a good camp summer song (I heard it was going to be the next single after Paparazzi until she recorded Bad Romance) Monster and Dance in the Dark were both potential smash songs. Marry the Night was supposed to be the third from rumours (but was changed due to TEOG doing so well on itunes as a promo single), I think if they had released TEOG as second single instead of Judas and no promo singles and release MTN as third single as planned it would have smashed. Scheisse screams smash hit to me, I know everyone says it wouldn't have because of the word Scheisse being in it and the german giberish but whenever it has played in clubs I have always seen a great response. Also many songs have topped the charts that were very explicit and not radio friendly. Madonna did it with Erotica... If Gaga had not broken her hip and BTWB had finished as planned, I reckon Aura would have been released as the lead single in early summer with the Telephone continuation as the video. A radio edit with the beginning made more radio friendly and I think it would have done really well. Plus a performance on the VMA's during the songs peak starting to drop, performance starting with Gaga FINALLY performing Telephone with Beyonce or was she pregnant then? lol After that I think it could have been Venus second single with a real video, then album release. Followed by Do What U Want (no r kelly) and perform on the Grammy's/Brit Awards and then release MANiCURE as a single before the tour starts. Diamond Heart should have been the lead single for Joanne with a performance on the VMA's and a few more shows US and UK and the era would have kicked off better I think. Million Reasons as second single as before and Super Bowl I would not change a thing about that. The problem with this era is that Gaga has been filming a movie in the middle so all promo was out of the window after Super Bowl. I think Gaga has an album for release early next year and debuting the lead single at the Grammys... Sorry veering off topic.
venusfly 17,885
Summerboy & Starstruck and probably even BDR are her biggest hits that got away. The Fame could have produced a plethora more hits for her. The other albums all got proper single treatment imo Aura and Venus go way too hard for radio play, that type of EDM has never been in trend. Shieße is very much just a fan favourite, same with HML. Just because they're good songs don't mean they'll be good singles, both of them are way too weird.
