"The flag creates a hostile and provocative learning environment for students not comfortable openly and supporting the LGBTQ Community.”  The letter continues, “It’s unprofessional for the teachers to openly display their political views in an unbiased and socially neutral public setting– creating a hostile and uncomfortable learning environment.”

The same would be true if, lets say, a cross would hang on every wall.

A school/university really should be politically and religiously as neutral as possible.

LGBT rights have been associated with liberals, the left in general, Democrats. 

The fact is that conservative administrations won't advance LGBT causes.

Everything is political now. For **** sake ENVIRONMENTAL policy is now "liberal" and the other side completely chooses to neglect it. 

This is the danger of politicizing issues that should concern everyone and not just a political segment of the population.
