For the MJH 1 , I know it's not the true meaning. But I think she had 2 intentions with the lyrics ' fly under radar tonight'. As Mary Jane Holland , she is under the radar, She is in disguise. And the other 1. The song is also about Amsterdam. There is a huge airport nearby Amsterdam. (Schiphol , 1 of the world largest). Flying under the radar where u can see the planes on. It's not so long, I think a lot of them have been answered, or I understood them with time. But these one, I could never understand their meaning. I'll try my best to unpack some of these lol 1) its nonsense and also shes experiencing these things. It's supposed to be very psychedelic, essentially. 2) She's playing her hand in time. In this case, I believe the idea is that one of her asshole boyfriends got his s*** beat because he's a bad boy and he's still trying to speak to her. She references James Dean also who is a notorious bad boy icon of sorts so this lines up. She's just painting a picture of the dude here. 5) Someone did before me and did it better lol 6) top down=car, fury of a saint= strong conviction, and she's standing on a smoking gun. No guns! 7) hybrid is ART and POP 8) I guess kites are colorful like she imagines ARTPOP? Just a guess 9) "under the radar" is a saying meaning you won't be noticed. When she's MJH and has brown hair she can go unnoticed. 10) Look at the rest of the verse for context. She's saying people fighting over science and religion are being ridiculous and we shouldn't fight over ideas as it's pointless and petty. 11) Not entirely sure so I don't want to guess 12) the trial is when someone is shot on the street. We are on trial and given the choice to decide between action and ambivalence. It's foolish and weaker as it shouldn't be this hard to decide what is right especially the more it happens. 13) "choreographers with playful thoughts." She'll think of joyful things and how she wants to dance down the street to shake away the pain and be happy.
