After being greeted by a traditional Maori welcome at Government House in Auckland, President Grabar-Kitarović met with a number of high-profile New Zealanders of Croatian descent, including singing superstar Lorde. Lorde, who claims Croatian roots on her mother's side, posed with the Croatian president. Lorde is pictured here with New Zealand Governor General, Dame Patsy Reddy and the President of Croatia, Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović. She returned to her home in New Zealand after performing at San Francisco’s Outside Lands Festival on August 13 and will travel to the US again to perform at the VMAs next weekend.
