The chorus should've been something like "I'M GONNA MARRY THE NIIIIIGHT!" instead of "I'm gonna Marry!.. The night!" I don't know if you understand what I'm saying, but kind of like the Hair chorus, powerful and fast.

I love the song but there are some things that I don't like about it.. like how it becomes noisy and at the end she says "THE NIIIGHT" too many times.

I get it. But that would alter the chorus. They would have to add a "NIIIIGHT" echo (or something) to fill in the gap between that and "I'm not gonna cry anymore".

I still think "I'm gonna marry the night, I won't give up on my life...etc." would've made an awesome chorus if you add a fast, massive beat that goes along with the church bells. Different verses with that as the chorus would've been perfect.

Are you forgetting that she released Lovegame? Paparazzi's chorus has always annoyed me, too.

I'm surprised Lovegame did as good as it did looking back now. o.o it had a catchy controversial hook though.

But paparazzi? I've always thought that it had one of Gage's best melodies. It's such a big chorus too.

When I first heard it, I didn't like it. The chorus was not memorable and it felt like she was just singing one longgggggg note. ;_;

But then it grew on me and I loved it. :)

Yeah this and Electric Chapel... they had so much potential.

When we got the preview of EC, I was expecting some massive, poweful rock chorus... I was so pumped to listen to it... then I heard the album version and was very disappointed.

Can you imagine her screaming the lyrics to Electric Chapel over a powerful, heavy rock/dance chorus?

I personally think Marry The Night is one of the most powerful songs on the album. I think it's message is even stronger than Born This Way. It's the perfect introduction to the album and I think if she had stuck with her original plan to release that song first things might have turned out different. It's such a GaGa song and you can hear Fernando's work echoing Dance in the dark which to me was the best song until Marry the Night, like a sequel. Dance in the Dark was about inner conflicts and shame and basically issues that make you want to curl up in a hole for the rest of your life. Then Marry the Night is like "**** that!"; To me it's perfect.

As for Electric Chapel, I think it is by far to coolest song on the album, just before Sheiße and Heavy Metal Lover. I used to skip it all the time, I just thought it was boring, but something clicked and I had a total 180. I think for me the weakest chorus on the album is Bad Kids. Awesome song until you get to the chorus. It's got this edgy "I'm gonna **** you up" feel and then all of a sudden it's like rainbows and puppies. It's catchy, but. . . c'mon.

I love the chorus! But it takes a bit to grow on... I think everyone feels this way with Marry The Night. It is a masterpiece with something missing.
