XD I had no Internet and my new friends in Palestine kept hearing me go on and on and on about this 'Gaga' person and how epic she is.. then TEOG came out and I downloaded it at a friend's house .. and they all huddled up to see it .. and then they saw it :red: :red: :confuse: :confuse:

I felt terrible I showed them the Telephone/Alejandro/Paparazzi videos LOL

A Stan Was Born

It wasn't anywhere near as bad as it was made to be in the fandom initially, but it was disappointing, yes.

I loved it, it didn't need to be this explosion of a music video people were expecting.

The song was respecting her land grandfather, it was a respectful music video... and then Clarence.

I don't think it would have been as respectful for Clarence if the last music video he was in was about mermaids.

I think it was nice because she needed to release something not so IN YOUR FACE CRAZY STUFF. As a video, I would have preferred watching something more intense, like she has in her other videos, but I think making EoG not so extravagant was a beneficial thing for her to do.

Also, considering Clarence's death following soon after the video, I think a video like the one we have is more appropriate.

On my first view I was disappointed as I stayed up to watch it (damn time zones) and was expecting some epic **** with mermaids and stuff. I don't think it is disappointing anymore, in fact it probably suits the song a lot better than what it was supposed to of been. :coffee:

Degenerate Beauty

In the first moment it was dissapointing because until EOG every Gaga Video was full of creative ideas, story and epicness.

And then she released that simple video and we all wasnt expecting that.

But honestly it isnt THAT bad. She is looking very fierce, the Versace clothes are sooooooooooo brilliant and its nice to see her running and dancing and having fun in New York City.

She could have do it a way better but I don't think it was a big mistake or something like that.

I was heartbroken when I watched it because I knew that a great song that has a very wide range of ideas for an epic video has been flushed down the toilet.

Since I was expecting something massive with mermaids and doctors and stuff, I was disappointed. But I got used to it, and it's actually not so bad :^_^:

I would've said awesome if I didn't know Gaga and watched that video by chance on T.V. n got to hear the song through it too, in that case I wouldn't have known that the song is about life or death ...etc. so I would've pretty much accepted it the way it is.

I LOVE the parts where the video doesn't cut at the right times and it doesn't match up the with the words!! Love that!

I also really like the various shots and looks

I didn't like it at first, but I think I understand why she went that route. As glorious as Kahn would have made the video, it was a song about the death of her grandpa so it was already personal to her. Then when it was found out that Clarence passed away, it was even more somber. So, though it was simple, it gave us a look into her early days as she mentioned she used to dance on her fire escape. The street mimicked the one she used to live on. She had that colored outfit to give the impression that she is a fighter.

I still have reservations about it, especially that wig she used, however, I've come to appreciate it for what it was. The Edge of Glory is still a great song to me and I love how well it played over the summer.
