I could get amazing seats right next to the stage for roughly a quarter of what I'm paying to get good seats at the JWT. I think it'd be worth it

It's not really all that surprising. Gaga's had a huge year as far as events and publicity go and Katy's in a commercial dip atm. By their next eras things should be back to normal.
