Mine are:

J.J. Abrams - a master of weird and sci-fi; who is known for his editing and filming style. Particularly his use of lens flare. My favorite films are: Star Trek, Super 8, and Star Trek Into Darkness.

Christopher Nolan - a qualitative director known for cinematic movies that incorporate intellectual themes with his distinctive and classic style. This includes his masterful cinematography, sound use, and preference of shooting on film over digital video. My favorite films are: The Dark Knight, Inception, The Dark Knight Rises, Interstellar, and Dunkirk.

Quentin Tarantino - an iconic filmmaker known for his perchant for ultraviolence, satirical elements, neo-noir style and ensemble casts. His film style is often described as energetic and vibrant. My favorite films are: Kill Bill: Volume 1+2, Inglorious Basterds, and Django Unchained.

Ryan Murphy - a very versatile director known for his quirky and off kilter style, strong casts, and rich writing. He's basically the behind the scenes gay master of cable television. I like to call him the King of FX. My favorite projects are: Glee, American Horror Story, Scream Queens, and The Normal Heart.

Honorable mentions: James Wan and Seth Macfarlane

Sorcerer

Steven Spielberg - A master of his craft, a unique innovator, and a magnificent portrayer of humanity who doesn't rely on gimmick and technicality. Favorites: Saving Private Ryan, Schindler's List, E.T.: The Extra Terrestrial

Stanley Kubrick - A visionary, and just a virtuoso, especially on showing realism, dark comedy, stylistic horror, and thought-provoking stories and cinematography. Favorites: Paths of Glory, The Shining, Dr. Strangelove

Sergio Leone - A unique artist and the creator of the "Spaghetti Western," he continued to push boundaries through his style and incomparable camerawork. Favorites: The Dollars Trilogy

Francis Ford Coppola - Despite his decline, he created some hallmarks in the history of film. Favorites: Apocalypse Now!, The Godfather Part II

Mel Gibson - A very polarizing director mostly criticized for his excessive use of violence, however Gibson's talent in his portrayal of reality, human emotion and epic grandeur is undeniable. Favorites: Hacksaw Ridge, Braveheart

Luxe Ford

OTTOMH and random:

Pedro Almodovar because a lot of his hilms are hilarious at first glance (lesbian nuns addicted to heroin etc.) but thought proviking when you scratch the surface.

Peter Greenaway. Most of the time I don't get half of them, but leave the theatre with my mind reeling and a sense of awe and bewilderment. Is that how art feels?

Xavier Dolan is my dark horse choice. He's 28 and has allready directed and starred in many films. They are allways interesting. He's also pretty cute, but unfortunatly looks a lot like a guy who gave me a shitload of trouble a few years ago. They are both half egyptian. Hmm...

What happens in Luxe Ford stays in Luxe Ford
