but they're totally fine with beheading people who leave the night's watch? :poot:

her father was insane and killed innocent people, these were her enemies who she gave a chance to join her but their pride got in their way of their common sense :rip:

i'm not saying that dany was right or wrong. but if i were tyrion or the bald bird guy i would be a little bit alarmed and i don't think that is unusual or sexist or w/e. i think the show is foreshadowing that dany will have a struggle in the future with how she will use her power. i think she might come to some kind of crossroads where she will either continue on her own path or move toward her father.

lowkey here for a rabbit viewing experience

WOW! I wish the viewers would see this tbh

YES! People forget this is what she is. SHE'S THE DRAGON. SHE MUST TAKE WHAT IS HERS WITH FIRE AND BLOOD. It's who she is.

Those viewers are SNOWFLAKES.

Dany is strong woman that don't take no sh*t and they're MAD.

🔵 - Banned because I quoted a stupid meme. Literally. So, yeah.

When she followed the advice of man she failed.

When she followed her woman's intuition, she did the best thing.

She had to show her power by burning them, you need to scare your enemies' army, if you want them to follow you..

remember how many of them bent the knee as soon as those "men" were cooked? :reductive:

yeah but there's a history there. she did something the mad king did and he was supposedly very cruel so of course when she starts burning people alive too people are going to be watching closely

there's no logic in this line of thinking although I can kind of see where you're coming from.

@ryanripley @Talent can we use the logic that the only reason she used the dragons was to reduce the casualties? Imagine if she had beheaded them, most other men would've taken that option because beheading is considerably less painful than being melted by Drogon. We can even see this played out when as soon as the men were reduced to ashes, what did the other soldiers do? They immediately cowered in fear and bent the knee. She literally did that to prevent more deaths.

also @Eighteen I still don't see how Dany is following in Aerys' footsteps. Aerys burnt people for pleasure, Dany isn't doing that.

If you're not a fan of Dany as a character, it's fine, but these people get carried away with their hate for her and I think a lot of stems from the fact that she has been very popular in the show up until this point and is expected to have a pivotal role at the end. Most of those people are either Stannis fans or Stark fans and they can't stand the fact that Daenerys is a more important character than everyone except for maybe Jon. So they cling to this idea that she's becoming mad to justify their hatred for her.

They were literally given the option to go defend the Wall. They chose pride.

And since when is a life sentence in captivity better than a quick death?

she had dragons, she might as well use them :selena:

it's hardly the cruellest thing to happen on the show and it hardly makes her crazy like her father

they were dead in like 30 seconds anyway so it's not the cruellest method of execution seen on the show too

the character closest to the mad king is cersei, if dany was acting like cersei/joffrey then i'd be concernced

It's deceptive writing anyways. The writers are trying to make it all dramatic and portray Daenerys to potentially follow her father's footsteps. Just like how they are going to make it look like Arya and Sansa are going to battle. But that's not how the season is going to end by any means.

PREACH IT SISTA! PREACH IT. I really hope, seeing that the show is not following GRRM's plotline anymore, the writers don't look to what the fans are saying and weaken her as a character to please the vocal minority of Dany haters.

It's worrying.

Also, what's the Jon Snow hype? I don't get it

i quite like Jon! he's kind, sane, level-headed and a risk taker nor is he hungry for royalty, riches and fame

however he is rather overrated and his personality is a little boring :selena: i'm just waiting for his targaryen heritage to be EXPOSEDT

I mean, I understand some of the complaints because burning people is an AWFUL AND CRUEL way to die. But... they were traitors and they trash-talked her. She had no choice.

If you're mad about Dany being a leader and a conqueror, you should be mad about Jaime almost killing Bran/raping her sister in front of her dead son, etc etc. And believe me, they're not mad. They still LOVE Jaime's ass.

They hypocrisy is real, y'all.
