No, Katy's career is buried because she wore activism like a trend and only adopted it when it suited her. Gaga had been a vocal activist her whole career; it's something she's known for. She literally got Super Bowl flak for not being even *more political. Plus, Katy did passivism not activism. During that entire era it was one gaffe after another from someone who didn't do her research and got called out on it. Plus she kept talking about how much an activist she was without actually doing anything to put her money where her mouth is. That's why people were irked; it was disingenuous or at least seemed so. Im not trying to drag Katy or anything, I don't have much an opinion on her but that's why people were irked. It wasn't her politicizing, it was the way she went about it and the timing.
