That last tweet threw me off though.. Support financially? I would never expect my white friends to give me money just because they're white and I'm a POC. That sounds so crazy to me.

Didn't she use the #ThisisNotUS to say that white supremacy and racism is not representative of us, as people, (but also because it's a play on words, like US = United States, but also US = us, the people).

I don't think she was saying "ThisisNotUS" to say "not every single white person is supportive of white supremacy". In that case though, that's also true. 

I swear, some of these SJW make big deals out of anything. Honestly, at first I was ignorant and didn't see why people hated some of them, because in the end, they're trying to promote good, but when you have sh*t like this where you're complaining about something that isn't a problem, then it's f*cking ridiculous.

True, I think they interpreted it as a denial of racism, which is... dumb. Seems like they're set on being against her and are nitpicking her words. It's annoying to see how Gaga's trying her best fight white supremacy and support them but they still decide to attack her and question her integrity instead. I've even seen one calling her the "worst type of white woman" as if Tomi Lahren and other disgustingly racist people doesn't exist! It's getting annoying and tiring.

And they're saying that Gaga needs to be more educated. This is not the first time something like that happens in the US, but as a white person maybe you don't know about it. So saying "This Is Not Us" (when America is actually pretty racist and it was founded on white supremacy/slavery) it's tone deaf.

Reverse racism exists and we all know it. Here's the definition of racism if you don't know what it is:

-prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against someone of a different race based on the belief that one's own race is superior.

That article is bull. Why? Cuz you don't have to be powerful to be racist. You just need to hate someone's race and it makes you racist. 

Why the hell would anyone generalize racism in our race (white). Events that happened like 100 years ago should mean that we're all racist just cuz we are white? C'mon. I hear everyday in almost every song by every black artist that white people are nothing but a trash, I see in movies how black people talk of us, I see on tv, I see on internet. I think the issue is that she likes to make bite-sized little phrases that people can easily spread online but to find one that can't be misinterpreted it hard. For instance, some people are against "born this way" for various reasons I won't get into.

With "this is not us" I totally see where it could be misinterpreted as her saying America used to be this wonderful place and that she's in her own bubble. The actuality of it that we all know is that she's saying we can be better than this, that we're capable of being better. Those are two vastly different reasons, but we know her and if you don't and are used to ignorant celebrities or people on your FB feed always typing up "NotAllWhitePeople" I can see where you'd jump to make that conclusion about her statements. It's sad, but it is what it is. If the critics don't want to do their research then they aren't very good activists in the first place, but Gaga should also try moving away from hashtag activism. She's a very verbose person and often needs more than a quick 140-word statement to explain what she means.
