Disappointed In Gaga

I have been thinking this for the past few days and just wanted to here what you thought.

I am extremely disappointed that The Joanne World Tour is charging $1500 to do a group picture with 6 people you may not know and only see Gaga for 30 seconds. Like, people saved money for this for years, a lot of people may not have been able to afford it but did it anyway, you are a pop star that is worth $275 Million, and yet you just take a group picture with 6 people that people don't even know and you don't even get to be near her because only 2 people in the picture can stand next to her? You only see her for 30 seconds because she doesn't have time? If you are going to charge $1500 per ticket, a lot a lot of money for most people, you better be getting individual photos and be able to talk to her for at least 60 seconds. Gaga, you are a better person than this, I just can't see how any kind loving down to earth human like Gaga with great values would do this to someone who paid so much?

I never thought Gaga was the type of star to do a meet and greet like this. It just doesn't seem like her.

Like how could someone do that to middle/lower class people? If I was Gaga, I could never ever do something to people. If my touring company said that, I just couldn't do that to people, I think it is wrong and disgusting.

Plus Gaga is not even allowed to autograph anything! That is just wrong. They don't even give you an autographed CD in the cheap plastic bag or anything autographed.

How could someone justify charging $1500? You only see Gaga for 30 seconds, don't get the picture immediately, don't even get to stand next to her, no autograph, fighting with strangers to stand next to her, and no conversation. But you do get a dinner and tour, that makes up for it? (Lol)

It just seems like a rip off, nothing like the artRAVE, and is a quick 'let me take your money, $1500 please' scheme.

It is just so hard for me to rap my head around, how a person like Gaga could rip people off like this? Like spend at least 1 minute and individual photos and maybe a signed CD? Putting on your outfit and wigs shouldn't be your big priority when many people spent tons and tons of money to meet you and you only say hi to them and only stand near them.

I didn't buy a package, I couldn't afford it, but it just blows my mind that she would do this to someone who may have had to work weeks and weeks to afford 1 ticket.

Because she said she feels shallow shaking hands, taking photos

she learnt to say no, say no to taking photos, say no to rehearsal, say no to the stereotype of Lady Gaga being creative, etc. So that when she looks in the mirror, that reversed image of her can go to bed with her

I personally don't agree with paying to just meet someone. No one is important enough to charge for a short chat and a photo in my eyes.

I also believes she disagrees with these kind of "VIP" experiences and is forced into them.

This and this.

It probably wasn't even her idea. Remember, we're talking about the woman that still wanted to go on stage, alone, just to sing for her fans even though literal terrorists were threatening to kill her. Like, literally kill HER. Specifically her.

We can't blame Gaga for this :laughga:

Also the whole "no political" stuff. You're f*cking kidding me saying you can't pose with Gaga with a rainbow flag. It rubs me the wrong way so hardcore.

Why would someone pay for a pic with a star:emma:

Honestly :laughga:

If I ever meet Gaga, I want it to be an out-and-about, lowkey "hi, I love you so much, thanks for being amazing and doing what you do! Ok, I'll go away now. STAN OUT!" Then I'd run away like a giddy child with my Monster paw in the air singing/sobbing whichever one of her songs I had in my head at the time :emma:

I agree I don't even think the option should be available. Look at Madonna, I don't think she has ever done a meet and greet in her life before or after a concert.

They are just going by the guidelines put forth. If you start making exceptions, then everyone knows and it balloons from there. It's not like Gaga didn't drape the rainbow flag over her piano bench the other night. The guidelines are there for a reason and need to be followed to keep everything on track.

Before he refused, it was published that the M&G experience was bad and was short, was more or less like Gaga's one and the comments here were bad.. not only with him, with many other artists..

But it's not promised that you will be treated as an obstacle to Gaga to go on stage, that if you touch her you can piss her off because something is not perfect anymore.

And it's not promised or written that a group of 6 people have only 30 seconds to interact with her, this is what pissing off people because the backstage experience was different, the interaction with her was longer.

they don't tell you the uncomfortable news until your money has long been spent (6 months ago)

and your are already backstage. Then the security tells you how it's going to be.

I understand completely what you're saying. But I doubt Gaga is even in control over the prices and the ticket deals. I'm sure she wouldn't agree with it

M&G tickets are a waste of money anyway.

Stalk her out of her hotel. Chances are you're almost guaranteed a picture and it's for free.

I have failed collossally so many times doing that. it's worse than ever now with the paps all round and bothering her and her security insisting no touching etc.... Nothings guaranteed.

I've noticed over the years at Staples center how each time it got harder and harder and harder to meet her.

In2009- 2010, she stopped the bus and talked to each fan, for about 30 minutes. I didn't get to experience that as no $$ at the time. My pal Donnalyn told me the whole story.

In 2011, she stopped for some people for 5 minutes. There were FAR more fans than in 2010.

In 2013, she stopped to wave at the red light, rolled down the windows, took a few selfies, and that was that.

In 2014, she waved through the window the first night, and the second night didn't stop the SUV.

As you can see, there' s a pattern. Staples got to be too familiar to the fan regulars and that was that.

None of those times did I ever personally succeed in meeting her.

But the thing is you need to work hard to be successful.

I literally was saving cans and bottles, I do that every year, I get $35 a month from it. That's $420 a year roughly, and that's just from recycling. I get what you are saying. I used to wash my coworker's cars on my lunch hour and I made $10 a pop every day doing that. That was how I paid for my first ever Lady Gaga show back in 2011.

because I couldn't even afford the ticket. Let alone a $1500 ticket to get a selfie with a pop star.

I forgot to mention they forbid selfies backstage. The security captain stressed, "Why would you risk taking a selfie when the professional photographer is going to a photo that is millions of times better in quality?"
