Saint Hollywood 37,361
EIGHT - SOBER II (MELODRAMA) - 8.778 Highest score (two 11s) - @John Slayne @Romance Bitch Lowest score (one 3) - @AmericanGUY Comments Spoiler @Thomas P - 10 - This is where I learn to respect Lorde even more. Sober was about having fun but secretly worrying about what emotions of regret and pain might be felt when the high wears off, and Melodrama (or Sober II) is exactly what occurs. And I mean that intro! @Fernster7 - 6 - Has some good parts but overall it's an average song. @Alolan Raichu - 9 - I get an Ultraviolence vibe with the violins in the beginning and I like it. The change to the hip hop beat is so good. I wish it was reworked to be its own song instead of a continuation of Sober but I like the continuity. @AmericanGUY - 3 - does do much tbh. it has an interesting beat but that's about it. @TheWitness - 8 - nice ballad , not as good as Liability @Avenues- 9.5 - Title Track (?), Soul of the album. Artistic and again very thought provoking. Better than 'Sober I' @Brad - 9 - Love the heavy bass and crashes throughout the song. Brings a sense of uneasiness. @Maleficent - 10 - one of the standouts on the album, in my opinion. Lorde honestly is such a genius when it comes to lyrics. Thought the lyrics are simple, they capture a lot of emotion. @MrBlue - 9 - I love it a lot! I really see it in a musical. It's so theatrical! Maybe a little bit too short. @gag - 10 - I really wasn't that into this song when she debuted it because I thought it sounded too acoustic but GOD WAS I WRONG. The trap beats following the violin sounds is SO SO SO magical. Also beautifully written but what Lorde song isn't. @Romance Bitch - 11 - JUST BECAUSE IT'S AN INTERLUDE DOESN'T MEAN THIS TRACK IS NOT ABSOLUTE PERFECTION. The beautiful strings contrasting with the catchy trap beat, the somewhat haunting lyrics, the part where Lorde Jesus goes "Whoaaaa" over and over again...such a beautiful, under appreciated track and I will meltdown if this flops.
