I Know What You Did Last Summer is a 1997 American slasher film written by Kevin Williamson and directed by Jim Gillespie. The film is loosely based on the 1973 novel of the same name by Lois Duncan. The film also draws inspiration from the urban legend known as The Hook.

The film stars Jennifer Love Hewitt, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Ryan Phillippe and Freddie Prinze, Jr., with Anne Heche, Bridgette Wilson, and Johnny Galecki appearing in supporting roles. I Know What You Did Last Summer centers on four friends who are being stalked by a killer, one year after covering up a car accident in which they were involved.

I Know What You Did Last Summer received mixed reviews from critics, but was commercially successful, grossing over $125 million at the box office.[3] It was also nominated for and won multiple awards.[4] As a result, the film has been parodied and referenced in popular culture.[5]

I Still Know What You Did Last Summer is a 1998 American slasher film and a sequel to the 1997 film I Know What You Did Last Summer. Directed by Danny Cannon, the film was written by Trey Callaway, and features characters originally created in Lois Duncan's 1973 novel I Know What You Did Last Summer. Jennifer Love Hewitt, Freddie Prinze, Jr. and Muse Watson reprise their roles, with Brandy, Mekhi Phifer, Jennifer Esposito, and Matthew Settle joining the cast. I Still Know What You Did Last Summer continues after the events of the first film.

The Fisherman was definitely clever. I liked that instead of just killing them, he made sure to **** with them using all of their most prized possessions (Barry with the car, Helen with her hair).

I loved her in Ghost Whisperer and she looked amazing in the other TV show about sexual massages or something. I did not know she looked like that now. She's still cute tho.

I remember when the first film came out, I was on final year in Elementary. And I went to see it with my classmates after school :poot:

The film was quite scary for pre-teens like us back then :poot:

I think the horror genre is still very focused on ghosts and demons right now. We will see what direction IT takes it.
