Edge of Fame 198 Posted August 9, 2017 Share Posted August 9, 2017 What I love about this album is that it feels like we're seeing the "real" Kesha for the first time. Even though it sometimes feels like she's trying too hard to please everyone Let 'Em Talk, Woman, Praying, Rainbow, Hunt You Down, and Godzilla are true standouts for me and all for different reasons. Her voice and lyrics are raw and passionate and the music reflects those aspects beautifully. While I like Hymn and Boots they feel somewhat out of place stylistically on the album. The rest of the album has more of an organic feel (Boots kinda does) that I feel better reflects her vision than synth-pop. But overall, Kesha should be very proud of this album.
