Usually every artist has a very successful tour after their superbowl performance because it fuels people to want to see that artist live. BUT, the second tour after the superbowl usually flops because everyone has already seen that artist perform recently, the only people who would be buying tickets are hardcore fans. By not performing the JWT everywhere, she is keeping the demand for her concerts in certain locations so that on the LG6 tour she will still sell tickets. For example- Beyoncé had a successful tour- The on the Run tour/Mrs Carter tour, then waited for two albums and another superbowl performance before the Formation Tour so she had more material and the demand was higher. (Bruno Mars did a similar thing) Madonna- MDNA tour after superbowl was mildly successful, then The Rebel Heart Tour flopped. Katy Perry- The Prism Tour was successful, And this New Tour is a flop. venusfly 17,885 Posted August 7, 2017 Share Posted August 7, 2017 Katy's tour isnt selling particularly badly and Rebel Heart was successful I actually had a theory that the tour was short because not every arena type can support the things hanging from the ceiling but im not too sure on that one.
