It's also different from what Gaga's known for, sonically speaking. It's a ballad (yes, TEOG can be a ballad too, but I'm strictly talking about the studio version). 

DIC is a much more polarizing song, and if anything, if you wanted a more upbeat pop song, then I'd say go with John Wayne (even though it's not my favorite, from what I've heard, a lot of people, even the GP like it).

I don't think so. Sexual innuendos of LoveGame and Bad Romance might have gone over GP's head but DIC's is way too out there  "I touch myself to pass the time" + we all know what "funk me downtown" sounds like

Super Bowl and DIC? I don't know. But making it single after Coachella could have been that moment. But she gave us The Cure, which did quite well. So now when The Cure is gone, she could make DIC another single from Joanne or release another stand alone single. Doesn't matter if it's going to be success or flop. She just should try. And release that damn video at the same time when the song - like Kesha. Maybe she wanted to release new single at Dive Bar, cause it was planned for thursday's nigh, so on friday, new single could've been everywhere, but DB was postponed, so it didn't happen. Maybe that Dive Bar is going to be this thursday, cause she's playing Las Vegas on friday, but I really doubt it.
