Guest
She could've used her Spotify partnership for the company to buy the unsold tix then give it away to random people who wanted to attend

Haz 82
I like Katy but her fans are ridiculous. She simply can't sell out an arena tour anymore and they can't accept it. I have Witness The Tour tickets and I'm excited, but concerned that my show will be cancelled! The issue with this tour is that all lower bowl and ground seats are 'premium seats' so are £/$200 each which is extortionate. when you're gone i'll still be bloody mary
Andrew 375
Lol, she used a family commitment as an excuse. She's on tour, I don't think family commitments would be taking place. Obviously cancelled due to low ticket sales. I'm genuinely surprised she's managed 3 shows in Melbourne (my city).

Ntown 29
Katy already did the Super Bowl! You see! Don't do it to early in ur career! You may need it for a revival ala Beyoncé x Gaga My concern is will this happen to Gaga? She better be on trend next era and release enough collabs or solid material to carry on the SB hype if not.... her fans won't be enough to carry her next era

Why are they so expensive? Were the Prismatic tickets that much? Her promoters have really overestimated her on this one. Most of her fans are young and can't afford that and their parents won't justify those prices. This is the big downside about having a young fanbase - you'll make less money overall because the only way to sell to have cheap tickets. But that then means that you have to have a mammoth tour to cover the costs and end up risking burn out. 3 hours ago, Ntown said: Katy already did the Super Bowl! You see! Bruno Mars did it after his second album which was a really weird decision (it was even before Uptown Funk) and it doesn't seem to have hurt his career too much but at the same time, he's really struggled for international hits with his new album and it isn't selling like his previous efforts. I don't think you need to worry about Gaga, though. Albums are for fans now, so she's doing fine. And she's built up a fabulous reputation as a live act so fans and public alike will happily continue to pay to see her concerts. Plenty of casual listeners go along just to hear the hits and end up buying the current album while they're there. Gaga did the wise thing by cementing herself as a touring act. That's a great way for her to make money even if her albums don't sell like they used to.
